Nissan Qashqai No Longer Available with Manual Transmission

Nissan has discontinued the manual transmission for Qashqai in Europe. Choose between 158hp CVT mild-hybrid or e-Power. Manual fans: look to used market.
Nissan is trimming the Qashqai lineup in Europe: the manual transmission version has been dropped from the price list. Dutch media report that the crossover was previously available with a 140-hp mild-hybrid engine and a manual gearbox, but that option is now discontinued.
That leaves two main versions. First, the Nissan Qashqai Mild-Hybrid 158 Xtronic with a 158-hp gasoline engine and an Xtronic CVT, starting at €41,830. Second, the Qashqai e-Power, where the gasoline engine works as part of a hybrid system. This version is more affordable, with a base price of €39,880.
For buyers, the bottom line is simple: you can no longer order a new Qashqai with a manual. Anyone who specifically wants a manual transmission will need to look at the used market or choose a different model. That said, the Qashqai itself isn't going anywhere—only the available powertrain options are changing.
This news clearly shows a broader European market trend. Manual transmissions are slowly fading even from mainstream crossovers as automakers increasingly focus on hybrids, CVTs, and automated gearboxes. That may be more convenient for some drivers, but it further narrows the choices for manual transmission fans.
