Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa: aero-tuned, 10-unit special
Alfa Romeo unveils the Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa at Brussels: boat-inspired aero, Akrapovic exhaust, 513 hp V6 and only 10 units — the most extreme yet.
Alfa Romeo took to the Brussels Motor Show stage with the first project from its new Bottegafuorisere custom shop — the Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa. Developed with the Italian sailing team of the same name, this limited series is presented as the most extreme Quadrifoglio in the model’s history.
Aerodynamics inspired by racing boats
The headline change is an all-new aero package. Up front sit canards, along the sills are carbon-fiber skirts, and at the rear a unique wing shaped after Luna Rossa’s hydrofoils but inverted to create downforce. The setup delivers up to 140 kg of downforce at 298 km/h — five times that of a standard Giulia Quadrifoglio. On paper, the result should make the car feel far more planted at speed.
Mechanicals and sound
Under the hood is the familiar 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 producing 513 hp, now paired with an Akrapovic exhaust. Rather than chase bigger numbers, the Luna Rossa focuses on stability, aerodynamic efficiency and emotional character — a strategy that tends to make the experience richer without overcomplicating the spec sheet.
Cabin and production run

Inside, Sparco sport seats echo the team’s life vests with grey upholstery and a red center stripe; the same motif carries into the optional livery. Only 10 cars will be built.
Luna Rossa indicates that Alfa Romeo is ready to expand into bespoke, high-margin projects, following the path set by premium rivals. For the brand, it is a chance to strengthen its foothold in the niche of extreme road cars and attract collectors — a sensible move that plays to the strengths of a nameplate built on emotion.
