Mate Rimac shares a rare winter clip of the Bugatti Tourbillon alongside the Rimac Nevera, showcasing V16 hybrid poise on snow as customer deliveries near.

Bugatti continues to stoke anticipation for the Tourbillon, and this time the pretext is unusual: CEO Mate Rimac shared a brief winter clip showing two cars rarely seen in such conditions parked side by side in the snow—the Bugatti Tourbillon and the Rimac Nevera. The key detail is that these aren’t the usual shots of camouflaged prototypes with factory test drivers. Rimac is effectively offering a personal, hands-on validation of a car already close to its final specification and nearing customer deliveries.

The video leans into contrast: logic would suggest an SUV for snow, yet the point is to highlight how a hypercar behaves on a low-grip surface. The Tourbillon rolls on winter tires, and the footage reveals the analog instruments in the cabin that inspired the model’s name. It comes across as a rare move in a segment that typically avoids less-than-perfect conditions; instead, the emphasis is on poise, control, and a predictable response.

The Tourbillon marks a symbolic break from the W16 era that defined the Veyron and Chiron. In place of a multi-turbo W16, the focus shifts to a naturally aspirated 8.3-liter V16 teamed with three electric motors and all-wheel drive. Combined output is quoted at over 1,800 hp, with the combustion engine alone surpassing 1,000 hp and the electric side adding roughly 800.

All 250 cars are already sold, and the start of deliveries of this hybrid flagship—priced around $4.4 million—will be a moment of truth for Bugatti: the bar set by the W16 is very high, and customer expectations match it.
