Kia America has released the first official teasers of the 2027 Kia Telluride, ahead of its world debut on November 20 at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The second generation of the brand’s flagship three-row crossover builds on the momentum of the successful first version that arrived in 2019.
Following the 2026 Hyundai Palisade, which rides on the same platform, the new Telluride looks set to keep its familiar silhouette while refining the details. The images show vertical LED daytime running lights, a more substantial hood with twin creases, a dual-pane panoramic roof, and wider wheel arches. Visually, the body reads a touch larger, echoing the upsized stance of its Palisade sibling. It feels like a careful evolution rather than a clean-sheet redo—an approach that tends to resonate with families who value continuity.
Under the hood, the lineup is expected to carry over: a 3.5-liter Smartstream V6 rated at 287 hp and a hybrid version with a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine delivering a total system output of 329 hp. Sticking with familiar hardware suggests the focus is on refinement and execution over radical change.
Kia says the Telluride will remain the brand’s most popular model in the United States. In the third quarter of 2025, Hyundai and Kia together sold nearly 459,000 vehicles, reinforcing their place among America’s four largest automakers. That momentum sets a favorable stage for the new generation.
The refreshed Telluride is positioned as the flagship with gasoline and hybrid powertrains, intended to strengthen the brand’s standing in the premium SUV segment across North America.
