Consumer Reports 2025: Jeep owners report lowest satisfaction

Consumer Reports 2025 shows Jeep owner satisfaction at a low. Wagoneer and Gladiator buck the trend, while Grand Cherokee 4xe faces faults and high costs.

Despite Jeep’s iconic status in American culture, its owners are far from satisfied with the brand’s product quality. The gap between image and everyday reality is hard to miss.

According to Consumer Reports’ 2025 annual report, only 51% of Jeep drivers said they were happy with their purchase. That result was the lowest among all brands covered in the report, a sobering signal from people who know these vehicles best.

There are, however, models that rise above the brand’s average. Owners of the Wagoneer and the Gladiator rated their trucks higher than the overall Jeep score, a reminder that the lineup still has bright spots.

The main drag is the flagship Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, which has prompted serious disappointment due to numerous technical problems and high maintenance costs. When a halo model becomes a source of hassle and expense, enthusiasm tends to cool quickly.

Jeep isn’t alone in facing discontent. Owners of Mazda, Nissan, Audi, and Volkswagen also reported low satisfaction, placing these manufacturers among the laggards for consumer approval.
