One of the rarest Maybachs in recent years has just come up for sale — the Mercedes-Maybach S 680 Virgil Abloh Edition. The model debuted in the first half of 2022: the design was approved during Virgil Abloh’s lifetime, and the final sign-off came from the Mercedes team led by chief designer Gorden Wagener. What turns this version into a true collector’s trophy is the run of only 150 cars.
This car stands out with its signature two-tone treatment: black on top and a sand-beige lower body, with the wheels painted to match. A fine decorative line separates the colors, while the chrome and Maybach badges preserve the flagship’s ceremonial presence. The cabin echoes the same contrast — beige in the lower sections and black above — complemented by glossy trim, metal accents, expansive ambient lighting, and digital displays. The effect feels considered rather than showy, the kind of restraint that tends to age well.
Technically, it sits at the top of the range: a hand-built 6.0-liter biturbo V12 delivers 621 hp and 900 Nm, with a claimed 0–97 km/h time of 4.3 seconds.
