Ex-Ford engineer Jamal Hameedi is developing Hameedi Venturo, a Group B-inspired, million-dollar off-road hypercar with usability and all-terrain performance.

Former Ford engineer Jamal Hameedi is helping develop a new off-road hypercar priced at about one million dollars. The project is taking shape under a new Italy-based company, Hameedi Venturo. Hameedi notes that the car is envisioned as a rare blend of outright performance, all-terrain ability, and everyday usability.

Hameedi’s track record is extensive: he contributed to the first Ford GT, served as chief engineer for the Ford F-150 Raptor, led development of the second-generation Ford GT, and took part in the Land Rover Defender 110 Octa project. The Hameedi Venturo team also includes engineers with experience at Ferrari, Aston Martin, and Lotus, alongside entrepreneur Andreas Benziger. With résumés like that, expectations naturally rise.

Technical details remain under wraps. According to Hameedi, the concept is inspired by what a modern-day Group B car might have become. The hypercar is being shaped as a luxurious daily driver with standout ability both on asphalt and off it. If execution matches the brief, it could fill a niche that few brands genuinely serve.

More information about Hameedi Venturo is promised in January. Interestingly, Ford Racing is planning its own event around the same time, where a production version of the brand’s racing developments could be presented. The timing hints at a lively start to the year for performance enthusiasts.
