Renault Filante Record 2025 concept drives 1,000 km on an 87 kWh battery at 110 km/h, delivering 13 km/kWh. Real-world test showcases benchmark EV efficiency.

Renault has unveiled the experimental electric Filante Record 2025, a concept engineered to cover 1,000 kilometers on a single charge while cruising at sustained highway speeds. The car uses an 87 kWh battery, the same capacity found in the production Renault Scenic crossover.

Testing took place in real-world traffic, with drivers maintaining an average speed of about 110 km/h. When the run ended, the battery still held 11% charge, enough for roughly another 120 kilometers.

The result highlights the concept’s striking efficiency: 13 kilometers per kilowatt-hour. That figure, achieved at pace, effectively doubles what contemporary rivals such as the Mercedes-Benz CLA and Tesla Model 3 manage, and it sets a sharp reference point for long-range EVs.

Filante Record 2025 is part of Renault’s research program focused on aerodynamics and battery technology. Despite its distinctive design and standout numbers, the vehicle is intended purely as a test platform to showcase innovations, with no plans for mass production. Framed this way, the project keeps attention squarely on pushing efficiency rather than preparing a showroom model.
