Faraday Future assembles the first FX Super One MPV in Hanford and will preview it at CES on Jan 7. AWD, BEV and range-extended hybrid planned; 2025 targets set.

Faraday Future has taken a meaningful step toward expanding its lineup: the first pre-production FX Super One has been assembled at the company’s plant in Hanford, California. The multipurpose MPV is set to become the brand’s second model after the flagship FF 91. For a company whose path has often swung between bold plans and hard reality, this is more than a photo op; pre-production usually signals that a project has moved past sketches and is edging into the routine of building cars.

The company said it will preview the Super One at CES in Las Vegas on January 7, where it intends to outline its plans for production, sales, and delivery timing. Faraday emphasized that this phase is critical for preparing for volume manufacturing and meeting its key targets for 2025.

The positioning is noteworthy. The Super One is presented as a premium mass-market MPV—aimed at delivering comfort and generous equipment while reaching a broader audience than ultra-expensive niche projects. All-wheel drive is planned, along with two powertrain paths: a battery-electric version at launch and, later on, a range-extended hybrid. For a young brand, that’s a pragmatic hedge: buyers increasingly want pure EVs, but many markets with uneven charging infrastructure still reward a transitional solution.

According to the company, about $300 million has already been invested in the plant, and with additional funding and permits, potential capacity could exceed 30,000 vehicles a year. Faraday also noted that shipments to the Middle East began at the end of November.
