Changan will enter Italy in 2026, rolling out EVs and hybrids via a 100-dealer network. Eight models, 48-hour parts delivery, and up to 8-year warranties.

Chinese automaker Changan has officially confirmed it will enter the Italian market in 2026. Italy will become one of the brand’s key beachheads for European expansion, following the start of sales in Germany in spring 2025. The plan is to build a proprietary retail network of about 100 dealerships, complemented by two to three flagship showrooms in major cities. It’s a paced rollout rather than a splashy one, signaling a long-term commitment.

Within three years, Changan intends to launch eight models in Italy. The range will include battery-electric vehicles, full hybrids, and plug-in hybrids. Sales are set to begin with the Deepal S05 and S07 electric crossovers, developed to meet European requirements. Their styling was created at Changan’s design center in Rivoli, near Turin. Starting with two electric SUVs and leaning on an Italian studio should help the newcomer tune its pitch to local tastes.

The company aims to cover the core B, C, and D segments, with a clear emphasis on SUVs. In the B segment, electric and hybrid versions are expected to be priced around €30,000. To support customers, Changan will open a parts warehouse in Verona with nationwide delivery within 48 hours. The warranty will be 7 years or 160,000 km for the vehicle and 8 years or 200,000 km for the battery. A quick parts pipeline and long warranties are the right levers for building trust with first-time buyers of a new marque.
