Mercedes-Benz GLC EV launched: pricing, range and tech
Mercedes unveils the electric GLC with a 94 kWh battery, 330 kW charging and up to 715 km range. Prices start at €77,725; Long Range Edition for efficiency.
Mercedes-Benz has launched the fully electric GLC, built on a dedicated platform and aimed squarely at the midsize SUV class. The model features a 94 kWh battery, supports high-power charging at up to 330 kW, and claims a driving range of up to 715 km. That headline figure, however, doesn’t apply to every version.
The entry-level GLC 400 4Matic Business Solution, priced at €77,725, offers a range of up to 666 km. To unlock the maximum range, buyers need the Long Range Edition. This specification adds €3,182 and bundles a technical package with Airmatic air suspension, rear-axle steering, and 19-inch wheels wearing low-rolling-resistance tires — a combination that clearly targets efficiency while promising a calmer, more composed ride.

Without that extra-cost package, the GLC EV uses a conventional suspension setup and standard tires. Even so, equipment is generous from the start: a 14-inch central display, a digital instrument cluster, adaptive cruise control, a panoramic roof, a powered tailgate, and heated seats. Some functions — including keyless entry and expanded display capabilities — are grouped into sizable option packs that inevitably push the price higher.
All told, the new GLC EV positions itself as one of the more tech-forward urban-focused electric SUVs in its class, though the longest range and the headline chassis tech are reserved for those prepared to pay extra — a strategy that nudges buyers toward the Long Range Edition if efficiency and refinement sit high on the priority list.
