Tesla app 4.51.5 debuts Vehicle Locator, Photobooth, and more

Tesla app 4.51.5 adds Vehicle Locator to end parking hunts tesla.cn

Tesla app 4.51.5 adds a Vehicle Locator to find your car in crowded garages and lots, plus Photobooth, Dog Mode Live Activity, Colorizer, and Dashcam details.

Tesla has released app version 4.51.5, introducing a Vehicle Locator tool. The new feature makes it easier to track down a car in crowded lots, shopping centers, or multi-level garages. An arrow now appears on the app’s home screen, pointing toward the vehicle in real time. It also displays the distance to the car, offering more precise guidance than the previous map-based address view.

The system works much like smartphone device-finders and orients itself around the owner’s location. In expansive parking areas where electric cars blend into rows of near-identical vehicles, this should cut down on wandering and wrong turns. Small as it seems, this kind of polish tackles a daily pain point drivers actually feel.

The update adds more than just navigation help: there’s Photobooth, an expanded Dog Mode with Live Activity, fresh appearance options via Colorizer, and richer details for Dashcam clips. Together, these changes set the stage for Tesla’s traditional holiday update, which the company releases every year. Owners are already noting how useful the locator feels after large events and in dense urban settings.
