Discover the new Ferrari 849 Testarossa: a 1,050 hp plug-in hybrid with a twin-turbo V8 and three e-motors, unveiled in Abu Dhabi as Maranello’s new flagship.
Ferrari unveiled the 849 Testarossa at the Casa Ferrari gathering in Abu Dhabi, held alongside the Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend. It marked the car’s first Middle East showing and installs a new flagship at Maranello, taking over from the SF90 Stradale.

The supercar is a plug-in hybrid berlinetta with a combined output of 1,050 hp. Its powertrain pairs a twin-turbo V8—running the largest turbochargers yet used on a production Ferrari—with three electric motors: one on the rear axle and two up front. The hybrid side adds 220 hp, an approach that should translate to stronger shove and sharper response.

Ferrari notes that the chassis and software are tuned for high-speed predictability and stability without eroding day-to-day comfort. The design blends familiar Testarossa cues with modern aerodynamic solutions, and the cabin focuses on improved ergonomics and efficient use of space. The result reads as confident rather than nostalgic, a clear nod to heritage used to serve performance.
