Volvo EX40 and EC40 Europa trims: specs, pricing, Ultra and Black Edition options
Volvo adds EX40 and EC40 to the Europa lineup, built in Ghent, with Plus-based specs, price cuts up to €3,500, Ultra and Black Edition options, orders open now.
Volvo has broadened its Europa lineup by adding the electric EX40 and EC40, which are now built in Ghent, Belgium. Earlier, 32CARS reported that the compact EX30 had already joined this series. The new specifications are based on the Plus trim yet bundle the Power Seat Pack and rear-seat heating while trimming the price by €2,500 — a combination that lands in a sensible middle ground for buyers who value comfort without overspending.
There is also an Ultra Europa version with a panoramic roof, a surround-view camera and a contrasting Black Stone roof. Both variants can be ordered as a Black Edition for an extra €1,500, adding black emblems and 20-inch wheels — a look that neatly complements the design.
The price advantage reaches €3,500 compared with the regular Plus and Ultra. The EX40 in Plus Europa starts at €46,995, while Ultra Europa begins at €52,495. The EC40 is slightly higher at €48,495 and €53,495 respectively. Order books are already open, which should resonate with those keen to secure a richer spec for less.
