Subaru Trailseeker EV debuts with AWD, 375 hp, 0–60 in 4.4s, ~280-mile range and Tesla Supercharger access. Base price $39,995; deliveries begin early 2026.

Subaru has officially confirmed that the base version of the 2026 Trailseeker electric SUV will be priced below $40,000, a figure that positions the newcomer as a compelling entry in its segment.

The new Subaru Trailseeker EV features the brand’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (AWD), aimed at confident handling and traction when conditions turn challenging. Under the hood, a powerful electric motor delivers up to 375 horsepower, enabling a 0–60 mph sprint in just 4.4 seconds — brisk by any reasonable yardstick for an all-weather SUV.

A 74.7 kWh battery underpins an estimated range of about 280 miles (around 450 kilometers) on a single charge. It’s a practical target that should cover daily use and longer weekend routes without fuss.

An important plus is compatibility with the Tesla Supercharger network, supporting charging at up to 150 kW. In practice, that means roughly 80% in about 28 minutes, turning long-distance travel into shorter, predictable pit stops.

The Trailseeker will be offered in three trims: Premium as the base model at $39,995, Limited at $43,995, and the top-spec Touring at $46,555. The lineup leaves room to pick a configuration without drifting far from the headline price.

First deliveries of the Subaru Trailseeker EV are scheduled to begin in North America in early 2026.
