Alpine confirms the final 1,750 A110 units, including carbon A110 R 70, before production ends in 2026. An all-electric successor debuts on the APP platform.

After nine years back on the market, the Alpine A110 is preparing to bow out. The French marque has confirmed the start of a final series of 1,750 units, closing the chapter on classic lightweight sports cars. Production will end in 2026, when a new electric successor on the APP platform arrives.

The modern A110 became the symbol of Alpine’s revival: a lightweight aluminum body, a mid-mounted engine, and finely tuned handling turned it into one of the most unfiltered sports cars of the decade. Despite relatively modest outputs—252 hp for the base version and 300 hp for the A110 GTS—its balance and immediacy earned it cult status among enthusiasts. It is the kind of machine that shows how precision can outshine raw numbers.

The final 50 cars, called A110 R 70, will hold a special place. Each will feature carbon-fiber panels and a numbered plaque. With prices starting at 124,800 euros, this edition serves as the closing note to Alpine’s gasoline era—a neat, focused farewell that stays true to the car’s ethos.

The next chapter is already in sight: an all-electric A110 is set to debut in 2026. It will keep a sporting character while switching to full electric drive, aim for a weight of around 1,450 kg, and adopt design cues inspired by the brand’s history. In short, Alpine is ending one era and opening another—digital and electric, yet still promising the soul of a proper sports car.
