Hyundai Ioniq 6: Base Version Gets a Bigger Battery and a Lower Price

The refreshed Hyundai Ioniq 6 base version costs less in the Netherlands despite a larger battery and longer range. Top trims, however, get pricier.
The base Hyundai Ioniq 6 got cheaper after its facelift by 2,900 euros, even though its battery and range grew. In the Netherlands, the Pure Edition now costs 42,995 euros instead of the previous 45,895 euros, while range increased from 429 to 521 km WLTP. It's a rare case where an update improved the offer without raising the entry price.
The entry-level Ioniq 6 now comes with a 63 kWh battery instead of 53 kWh. Rear motor output rose from 151 to 170 hp, and the 0–100 km/h sprint dropped from 8.8 to 8.3 seconds. Charging from 10 to 80% still takes about 18 minutes on a suitable station rated up to 350 kW.
But the price ladder gets murkier further up. The Long Range with its 84 kWh battery now costs 52,995 euros — a full 10,000 euros more. The reason isn't just the battery: this trim comes as N Line Business, with 20-inch wheels, a heat pump and extended equipment. Output stands at 229 hp, and range at 585 km WLTP.
The maximum 680 km is reserved for the more efficient configuration with 18-inch wheels. The Prime Business costs 55,995 euros, while the performance-oriented Ioniq 6 N is priced at 73,995 euros — 32CARS.RU previously covered its earlier Dutch market launch.
The base Ioniq 6 turned out to be the most convincing part of this update: buyers get 92 extra km of range along with a lower price, while stepping up to the 84 kWh battery now costs 10,000 euros more.
