Jetta M6: 4,806 mm of Cabin Space Instead of a Power Race

The Jetta M6 stretches to 4,806 mm with a 2,820 mm wheelbase. China sales are expected in Q4 2026, with prices starting around 100,000 yuan for the affordable EV family.
The Jetta M6 isn’t chasing record output — it’s betting on a roomy body and an affordable price tag. FAW-Volkswagen’s first all-electric sedan stretches to 4,806 mm, with a 2,820 mm wheelbase. Sales in China are expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The exact price of the M6 hasn’t been announced yet. The stated benchmark of around 100,000 yuan applies to Jetta’s entire upcoming lineup of affordable electrified models, so it’s too early to treat it as a confirmed starting price for the sedan.
Four front-wheel-drive versions have passed certification. The base motor produces 113 kW, or roughly 154 hp, and reaches a top speed of 166 km/h. The higher-spec version gets a 145 kW unit, or 197 hp, with a top speed of 172 km/h.
Filings from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology also show a curb weight of 1,557 or 1,628 kg. Wheel options include 215/55 R17 and 215/50 R18. Battery cells come from CALB, the pack is assembled by FAW-Volkswagen, and the motors are built by a CRRC subsidiary.
For everyday driving, the 17-inch version might be the more appealing pick: a taller tire sidewall usually smooths out bumps better, and the rubber itself costs less. That said, battery capacity, range, and fast-charging power haven’t been disclosed yet — without those figures, it’s impossible to say whether the M6 will really be a solid alternative to electric sedans from BYD, GAC, and Xpeng.
Don’t expect an official launch in Russia in 2026. Jetta representatives have previously said the brand will keep its current lineup of VA3, VS5, and VS7, with no plans to introduce new models this year.
Buyers considering a private import will need to separately check the charging connector, interface localization, mobile app functionality, warranty terms, and body parts availability. So the sedan’s real appeal will hinge not just on the Chinese price, but on range and the final landed cost.
