Mercedes-Benz Vito 30th Anniversary Edition: a six-seat diesel van with V-Class muscle

Mercedes-Benz has prepared a limited Vito Crew Cab 30th Anniversary Edition for the Australian market, powered by a 2.0-litre diesel producing 174 kW (about 237 hp) and 500 Nm of torque. The van goes on sale on August 1, 2026, priced at 86,679 Australian dollars. Registration, dealer delivery, stamp duty and other on-road costs are not included in that figure.

According to the brand, the powertrain is shared with the passenger V-Class. That makes the anniversary Crew Cab noticeably stronger than a standard work van, while keeping a practical layout: two rows of seats carry up to six people, with cargo space left behind them.

Official specifications for the Vito Crew Cab range include up to 4.1 cubic metres of cargo space, a body length of up to 5.37 metres, and a braked towing capacity of 2.5 tonnes. A height under 1.95 metres means it fits into many covered car parks, though loading cargo onto the standard roof rails removes that margin. The diesel version is rear-wheel drive.

Anniversary-spec equipment includes Alpine Grey paint, dedicated graphics, a sport package, 17-inch wheels, roof rails and MULTIBEAM LED headlights. Both sliding doors get power operation, as does the tailgate. The front seats come with heating, power adjustment and memory function, plus wireless smartphone charging.

This configuration is built not for maximum payload, but for an owner who needs to carry a crew and equipment on the same day. Before buying, it is worth comparing not the recommended price but the dealer’s final offer: Mercedes-Benz notes separately that local fees and registration costs are added later.

At the same time, the brand’s Australian arm has cut prices on other commercial models: savings on the standard Vito start from 4,700 AUD, and from 7,400 AUD on the Sprinter. The offer runs until September 30, 2026, so the gap between the anniversary model and a regular Crew Cab after the discount could end up larger than the price list suggests.
