Bentley Torcal: Camouflaged Prototype Spotted on the Most Public Street in Beverly Hills

Bentley Torcal Spied Undisguised in Camo on Beverly Hills' Rodeo Drive bentleymedia.com

A camouflaged Bentley Torcal prototype was spotted parked on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, right among the brand's future customers.

Bentley Torcal is still hidden under heavy camouflage, but the spot where it turned up couldn’t be more public. A prototype of the brand’s first production electric car was photographed parked on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills — surrounded by boutiques and the cars of Bentley’s potential customers.

Photos sent in by a reader of the American outlet show the car parked between a BMW i5 and an Audi sedan. That neighborhood made it easier to judge the proportions: the Torcal looks lower and more compact than the Bentayga, matching its official positioning as a luxury urban SUV.

Prototypes are usually tested on proving grounds, race tracks, or in extreme climates. Showing up in a shopping district instead could point to a preview for wealthy clients, a way to gauge reactions, or prep for an event in California. Bentley hasn’t confirmed any of it.

The Torcal’s world premiere is set for September 23, 2026, in London. The newcomer will become Bentley’s fourth standalone model line after the Continental GT, Flying Spur, and Bentayga — and the first production EV in the marque’s 107-year history.

32CARS.RU previously reported on where the Torcal name came from and the official reveal date.

Power, battery capacity, certified range, and pricing haven’t been released yet. Whether the car will share the 800-volt architecture expected for the future Porsche Cayenne Electric remains industry speculation. What’s confirmed is that the model debuts in 2026, with market deliveries starting in 2027.

Turning up on Rodeo Drive gave Bentley exactly the kind of buzz it wanted before the specs are even out. Whether this was a deliberate test or simply drew the attention of would-be buyers is still impossible to say.
