Genesis has revealed US pricing for the 2027 GV60 Magma, its first Magma performance model, offering up to 641 hp and 84 kWh battery.
Genesis has revealed US pricing for the GV60 Magma: the 2027 electric crossover starts at $69,950, plus a mandatory $1,545 destination fee. The first production model from the Magma performance division will initially be sold only through select dealers in California, New York, and New Jersey. Deliveries begin in the coming weeks.
The newcomer costs $17,425 more than the base 2026 Genesis GV60 and $10,050 more than its mechanical sibling, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. Some early coverage mislabeled the model as “GV60 Magna,” but the production car's correct name is GV60 Magma.

The premium over the Hyundai doesn't translate into a proportional jump in power. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive system produces 448 kW standard, while Boost mode briefly raises output to 478 kW — 650 PS under the metric standard, or 641 hp in US specification. Peak torque reaches 790 Nm (583 lb-ft), and the sprint to 60 mph takes 3.4 seconds. The traction battery holds 84 kWh.
Genesis's main differentiator isn't just cabin trim. The GV60 Magma gets Launch Control, an electronic limited-slip differential, a controlled-drift mode, and a virtual eight-speed gearbox that alters motor output and simulates gear changes. The e-Active Sound Design Plus system pipes in a synthetic engine note, including through two external speakers.
The crossover rides on 21-inch forged wheels, with a widened body, a rear wing, and dedicated Boost and Magma Mode buttons on the steering wheel. The front sport seats are trimmed in black suede with heating and ventilation. Standard equipment also includes a 27-inch OLED display and a Bang & Olufsen sound system. Genesis's official page stresses that the initial batch will be extremely limited.

32CARS previously covered the model in detail and confirmed a top speed of 264 km/h, a 0–200 km/h time of 10.9 seconds, and a WLTP range of 425 km. The US launch adds the one figure that was still missing — an actual starting price.
The comparison with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N shows Genesis's strategy clearly: buyers get a closely related powertrain, but a rarer car, richer trim, and its own chassis tuning. When the GV60 Magma opened for pre-order in Canada earlier, pricing hadn't yet been disclosed.
Sales in just three states confirm that the GV60 Magma won't be a mass-market GV60 variant, but an image model for a limited dealer network. Paying over $10,000 more than an Ioniq 5 N buys the Genesis badge, exclusivity, and a pricier interior — not radically higher performance.
