Ford Mustang FP800S: a supercharger kit with a factory-backed warranty, for a price

Ford Sells 821-HP Mustang Kit With Factory Warranty for $18,500 Ford Performance

Ford Racing's FP800S Whipple supercharger kit lifts the Mustang GT to 821 hp and comes with a 3-year warranty — if a certified shop installs it.

Ford's FP800S kit costs $18,500, or about 1.45 million rubles at the Bank of Russia's July 21 rate. That figure doesn't include installation or tires. Dealer fitting adds roughly $5,000 more — about 392,000 rubles. Minimum spend on the upgrade works out to around 1.84 million rubles.

The package fits the Ford Mustang GT from 2024–2026 with the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter Coyote V8 and passive suspension. A 3.0-liter Whipple Gen 6 supercharger pushes output to 821 hp, with torque reaching 834 Nm. Cars without the active exhaust system are rated 10 hp lower.

The supercharger isn't the whole story. The kit also bundles an oil separator, reinforced half-shafts, retuned suspension, 19-inch bronze wheels, a new grille, trim pieces, and FP800S graphics. Ford recommends 305/30 ZR19 tires up front and 315/30 ZR19 out back — not included in the price. The engine needs fuel rated at least 91 AKI on the U.S. scale.

Ford Racing backs the kit with a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty — about 58,000 km. The catch: installation has to happen at a Ford dealer or with an ASE- or Red Seal-certified technician. This is a warranty on the Ford Racing package itself, with its own terms — it shouldn't be mistaken for full factory coverage of the whole car.

For a Mustang imported into Russia, that American coverage doesn't automatically carry over. Before ordering, owners need to check kit compatibility by VIN, confirm suspension and exhaust type, verify whether official software calibration is even possible, and get the fuel requirements and installer paperwork sorted. Without those checks confirmed, what an owner actually gets is tuner-shop performance — not the manufacturer's warranty protection as advertised.
