Recall alert: 2024–2025 Lincoln Corsair rear light issue

Ford recalls 2024–2025 Lincoln Corsair for rear light fault lincoln.com

Ford recalls select 2024–2025 Lincoln Corsair crossovers over water intrusion in rear lights that can disable brake and turn signals. Notices start October.

Ford Motor Company has announced a recall of certain 2024–2025 Lincoln Corsair crossovers. The move stems from potential water intrusion into the rear light units, which could cause the brake lights, turn signals, or reverse lamps to stop working.

The issue falls short of U.S. safety standard FMVSS No. 108, which governs vehicle lighting. When rear lights lose their functions, the car becomes harder to spot on the road, and the risk of a crash rises. Even for a premium crossover, such an electrical lapse is a reminder that small faults can have outsized consequences in daily driving.

The campaign covers 84 vehicles built from December 15, 2023, to August 15, 2025. Owners are advised to wait for official notifications from Ford, with mailings scheduled to begin in October. The scope is modest, but anything that affects signaling is worth addressing without delay.

Dealers will inspect the cars and replace the rear lighting assemblies where necessary at no cost. The recall is expected to wrap up by March 2026. Taken together, these steps aim to keep the latest Lincoln models consistent in what buyers expect from them: confidence and safety on the road.
