Toyota Aygo X Hybrid arrives in the UK: price, trims, efficiency

Toyota has unveiled the refreshed Aygo X Hybrid, the brand’s most compact hybrid, now heading to the UK market. The line-up spans four trims: Icon, Design, Excel, and GR Sport. The entry-level model starts from £21,595 and brings 17-inch wheels, climate control, a 7-inch instrument display, a 9-inch infotainment system, and the Toyota Safety Sense suite.

Step up to Design for 18-inch alloys, LED lighting, heated power-folding mirrors, keyless entry, and improved cabin sound insulation—thoughtful upgrades for daily urban use. Excel adds a 10.5-inch multimedia screen, heated seats, and smart entry. Those seeking extra flair can opt for the Premium Pack, which brings a retractable fabric roof and a JBL audio system.

The GR Sport specification stands apart with a two-tone finish featuring a black bonnet, unique 18-inch wheels, and suspension tuned specifically for this version, lending the city car a sharper edge without tipping into excess.

All versions share a 114 hp hybrid system—up by 43 hp compared with the previous petrol engine. Official figures claim 3.8 l/100 km on the WLTP cycle and 87 g/km of CO2, numbers that suit its city-first mission.
