Xiaomi's SU7 Ultra Extreme: a more aggressive aero kit takes aim at the Taycan Turbo GT

A camouflaged Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype, possibly dubbed Ultra Extreme, returns to the Nürburgring with a new aero package aimed at closing a 9.4-second gap to the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT.
Xiaomi is back at the Nürburgring with a more aggressive version of the SU7 Ultra after losing its record in the electric executive-car class. The camouflaged prototype has picked up a new aerodynamic package, though the “Ultra Extreme” name, any power bump, and even whether it will reach production remain guesswork for now.
The biggest change sits at the back: a large two-tier rear wing with upper mounts now towers over the trunk. Carscoops floats the possibility of a drag-reduction system, but there’s no confirmation of that yet. Up front, the car wears a different bumper, larger air intakes, a splitter, and canard-style elements near the wheels. Vents have also appeared in the front fenders, alongside a more aggressive diffuser.
The upgrade tracks with where things stand. The production SU7 Ultra with the track package lapped the Nordschleife in 7 minutes, 4.957 seconds, but the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with the Manthey kit later posted 6 minutes, 55.533 seconds — a 9.424-second gap between the two official times.
The current Xiaomi runs three electric motors putting out a combined 1,548 hp. The company hasn’t said whether the test car will get a more powerful setup. That makes the visible changes look like an attempt to boost downforce and cornering speed rather than confirmed extra output.
What happens to the project next is the real question. Xiaomi could turn the prototype into a new production variant or a limited track package, but for now it’s being tested at the Nürburgring with no announced price, launch date, or specs. According to 32CARS.RU.
