Leapmotor's German Sales Surge 306%: How the T03 Became the Country's Top Chinese EV

Leapmotor Sales in Germany Jump 306% as T03 Leads Chinese EVs leapmotor.cn

Leapmotor registered 8,402 cars in Germany in H1 2026, a 306% annual jump. The T03 city car, priced from €18,900, is driving the surge.

Leapmotor has sharply increased sales on the German market. In the first six months of 2026, 8,402 cars of the brand were registered in Germany, a 306% increase over the same period last year.

June was a record month for the brand: 2,662 cars were registered, up 366% year-on-year. Leapmotor's share of the entire German new passenger car market reached 0.9%. According to the company, in June it became the largest Chinese EV supplier in Germany.

The main driver was the compact T03. The manufacturer calls it the leader of Germany's electric microcar segment and the country's best-selling Chinese EV. On the official website, the model is priced from €18,900 and comes with a 37.3 kWh battery, with a claimed range of 265 km on the WLTP cycle.

Leapmotor's result clearly outpaces the broader market trend. According to Germany's Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), EV registrations rose 48% in the first half of the year, and 78.2% in June alone. The brand's success is therefore driven not only by growing demand for EVs, but also by the rapid expansion of its own dealer network and model range.
