Italdesign NSX Tribute: A Carbon Body and Ayrton Senna’s Spirit for the Honda Supercar

Italdesign NSX Tribute: Honda’s Supercar Gets a Carbon-Clad Rebody italdesign.it

Italdesign has reimagined the second-generation Honda/Acura NSX with a wider, lower body, carbon detailing and hidden Ayrton Senna tributes — while leaving the 573‑hp hybrid powertrain untouched.

Italdesign has unveiled its own take on the Honda NSX. Unlike the Pininfarina project, which reworked the first‑generation supercar, the NSX Tribute is built on the second‑generation hybrid NSX and bets not on nostalgia but on blending the two eras of the model.

The mechanicals are untouched. Underneath the new bodywork sits the stock hybrid system: a twin‑turbo 3.5‑liter V6, electric motors, all‑wheel drive and a combined output of 573 hp. Italdesign isn’t claiming any chassis upgrades or power gains, so the project’s main value lies in design and rarity.

Visually, the body is wider and lower. The car gets a new front splitter, side skirts, a rear diffuser, an integrated spoiler, a roof air intake, four central exhaust tips and a full‑width LED light bar across the rear. The wheels are Advan Racing GT: 19 inches up front and 20 inches at the rear.

Inside, Italdesign uses Alcantara, carbon fiber, contrast stitching and NSX Tribute by Italdesign badging. There are also hidden nods to Ayrton Senna, tied to the original NSX’s history. Production numbers and pricing haven’t been announced, but the project will be extremely limited. One key condition: the conversion is offered only for right‑hand‑drive NSX models.
