First look at the Denza Z9 fastback from the Guangzhou Auto Show: premium design, 965-hp EV or 870-hp PHEV, 0-100 km/h in 3.4-3.6 s, up to 630 km CLTC range.
The new Denza Z9 broke cover at the Guangzhou Auto Show, a large premium fastback aimed at the upper reaches of the business segment. It wears a stretched body with a flowing roofline, flush door handles, and a slim full-width LED strip across the tail. Big wheels and sharply drawn side surfaces give it an athletic stance that looks purposeful rather than bulky.

Inside, the cabin is finished in light tones and features a large vertical infotainment screen, a digital instrument cluster, and a wide decorative element spanning the dashboard. A new steering wheel and a pared-back layout underline the premium intent, while the airy color palette helps the tech take center stage without visual clutter.

Technical highlights include two powertrain choices: a full-electric version with up to 965 hp and a 0–100 km/h time of about 3.4 seconds, or a plug-in hybrid with roughly 870 hp and a sprint of around 3.6 seconds. The EV is rated for up to 630 km on the CLTC cycle, while the hybrid offers about 201 km of pure-electric driving. The figures land it squarely in high-performance territory for the segment.

According to the manufacturer, the Denza Z9’s body format targets buyers who value a generous luggage area and advanced technology—a brief that suits the fastback silhouette, marrying a sleek profile with day-to-day practicality.
