Next-gen 2027 Kia Telluride: bigger, hybrid, smarter
2027 Kia Telluride at the LA Auto Show: larger design, new hybrid powertrain, X-Pro capability, premium cabin, Hey, Kia AI, streaming apps, OTA updates.
Kia has unveiled the next-generation 2027 Telluride at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The flagship three-row SUV grows in size, adopts a reworked design, adds new hybrid technology, and steps up its cabin quality. The lineup will span LX, S, EX, SX, and SX-Prestige trims, plus the off-road-oriented X-Line and X-Pro.
The exterior looks more assertive: a longer wheelbase, upright lighting elements, smoother body surfacing, and improved aerodynamics. The X-Pro also gains extra ground clearance and all-terrain tires. The stance comes across as more planted, and the cleaner lines give the big SUV a more modern feel without tipping into excess.

Inside, the Telluride features a refreshed cabin architecture with a digital panel, upscale materials, and available relaxation seats. Buyers can spec ventilated second-row seats, a heated third row, two wireless charging pads, and a healthy spread of USB‑C ports. The configuration reads convincingly premium, while the family-focused conveniences feel thoughtfully chosen.
Under the skin, there are two powertrains. A turbocharged gasoline engine delivers 274 hp, and a new hybrid develops 329 hp, offering up to 960 of range on a full tank. Kia also introduces a new steering system and broadens the all-wheel-drive feature set. On paper, the mix promises a balanced blend of performance and efficiency, with chassis tweaks that should bolster confidence on the road and add poise on rougher tracks.
On the tech front, the Telluride brings the Hey, Kia AI assistant, built-in streaming apps including Netflix, YouTube, and Disney+, digital keys, and over-the-air updates. With native entertainment and remote software upgrades, it feels well prepared for long hauls and the years ahead.
