Rearview Camera Recall: Stellantis Affects Jeep, Ram, Chrysler Models

Stellantis recalls select Jeep, Ram, and Chrysler models from 2019-2026 due to rearview camera display issues. Dealers will inspect and repair at no cost.

Stellantis is recalling select Jeep, Ram, and Chrysler models over rearview camera display issues. The campaign covers 2019–2026 model years, including the Wrangler, Grand Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer L, Ram 1500, Ram 2500, and Pacifica.

Two separate faults are involved. In some vehicles, the central image processing module may have been improperly programmed or contaminated. Dealers will inspect the unit—updating the software or replacing the module at no cost to the owner. Magna International is listed as the supplier of the suspect modules.

For the Grand Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer L, the problem lies elsewhere: the front camera wiring harness may have been incorrectly connected. Service centers will examine it and reconnect if needed. Owner notifications are slated to begin in June 2026.

This isn’t just a minor infotainment glitch. The rearview camera helps drivers spot people, obstacles, and low objects behind the vehicle—especially critical on large SUVs and pickups with high tail sections. If the image fails to appear in time, the risk during reversing maneuvers climbs sharply.

The issue is most pronounced on big SUVs and pickups, which have high rear ends, large blind spots, and minimal parking margin. That’s why this recall isn’t about convenience—it’s about fundamental safety. The driver needs to see what’s behind before starting a maneuver.
