Jaguar Land Rover recalls 2025–2026 Range Rover, Evoque and Discovery Sport in the U.S. over a shift selector indicator fault; free repairs begin Oct 30, 2025.

Jaguar Land Rover has announced a recall of several models—Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Evoque, and Discovery Sport—built for the U.S. market in 2025–2026. The move addresses a fault in the shift selector module that can disable illumination of the gear position indicator.

The issue stems from moisture ingress during assembly. A darkened indicator falls short of the U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard FMVSS 101, which governs controls and displays. While there have been no recorded crashes or owner complaints, the company will replace all potentially affected modules.

Land Rover and Range Rover dealers are set to begin replacements by October 30, 2025, and owners will be notified by December 12. All work will be performed free of charge.

The campaign covers vehicles built from August 19 to 27, 2025, at the Halewood and Solihull plants in the United Kingdom, where Discovery Sport and Evoque are assembled alongside the higher-end Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. The tight production window should help dealers zero in on the affected cars and streamline the remedy.
