Polestar 3 Gets Major Update with 800-Volt Architecture and Increased Power
Polestar 3 gets 800-volt architecture, new batteries, more power. Ranges: 604 km, 635 km, 593 km. 0-100 as low as 3.9s. Charging up to 350 kW. From €79,800.
Polestar has given the electric Polestar 3 a major update. Like the Volvo EX90, it now switches from a 400-volt to an 800-volt architecture. This brings new batteries, new electric motors, and revised trim names.
The entry-level trim is now called Polestar 3 Rear Motor, replacing the former Long Range Single Motor. It packs a 333-hp motor (up from 299 hp) and a 92-kWh battery (down from 107 kWh). Range drops to 604 km from over 700 km, but acceleration to 100 km/h improves from 7.8 to 6.5 seconds, and fast-charging capacity rises from 250 to 310 kW.

The Polestar 3 Dual Motor now makes 544 hp (previously 489 hp) and hits 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds. Its 106-kWh battery delivers up to 635 km of range, and maximum charging power is 350 kW.
The range-topping Polestar 3 Performance replaces the old Long Range Dual Motor with Performance Pack. Output jumps from 517 to 680 hp, with a 0-100 km/h time of 3.9 seconds. The 106-kWh battery provides 593 km of range, and charging remains at 350 kW.
On all-wheel-drive versions, the front motor automatically disconnects when not needed to save energy during relaxed driving. In Europe, the updated Polestar 3 Rear Motor starts at €79,800, Dual Motor at €89,800, and Performance at €109,200.
