Maserati SORPASSO Watch Collection Arrives in Japan
Maserati launches SORPASSO watch collection in Japan featuring automatic skeleton and chronograph models. Priced from $325 to $445, available at Yokohama Loft pop-up.
Maserati has launched its new SORPASSO watch collection in Japan. Sales began on May 11 at On Time Yokohama Loft, where a temporary brand pop-up shop will run through June 11.
The collection revolves around an automotive theme without trying to pass itself off as a genuine racing instrument. All models feature a 42 mm case, 10 ATM water resistance, mineral glass, a leather strap, and a steel case. The design draws on details meant to evoke sportscar gauges and Maserati’s signature racing aesthetic.
The flagship model is the SORPASSO Automatic R8821124004. It costs 69,300 yen (approximately $445). Inside is a Japanese automatic movement, the MIYOTA 8N24, and the skeletonized dial offers a view of the mechanics in action. For a car-brand watch, this is a key detail: the appeal lies not just in the Maserati logo but in the visible motion of the movement.

The three Chronograph versions are each priced at 50,600 yen (about $325). They come with a quartz movement (JS25), a case thickness of 12.4 mm, and a design inspired by racing instruments. This is a more versatile choice for those who want a sporty daily chronograph rather than a skeleton watch.
Starting May 11, the collection is available at Yokohama Loft before the wider release. Full sales begin on June 12, when the watches will be offered at H&M'S WatchStore Online Store and through official dealers across Japan.
For Maserati, such accessories serve as an extension of the brand’s image. Not every customer will come in for a GranTurismo or Grecale, but a watch with the trident delivers the same visual code: speed, metal, Italian style, and a touch of theatrics—without which Maserati would be just another premium brand.
