Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster: A 1065-HP Hybrid V12 Open-Top Collector's Dream
Lamborghini celebrates 63 years with the Fenomeno Roadster, a roofless hybrid V12 hypercar with 1065 hp. Only 15 units will be built. Performance: 0-100 km/h in 2.4 seconds, top speed over 340 km/h.
Lamborghini celebrated its 63rd birthday in signature fashion, unveiling the Fenomeno Roadster — a roofless hybrid V12 with 1065 horsepower. For the brand, the number 63 carries deep meaning: the company was founded in 1963, making this more than a special edition; it's a collector's statement.
The Fenomeno Roadster follows last August’s Fenomeno coupe, but the open-top version is even more exclusive. While the coupe was limited to 30 units, only 15 roadsters will be built. And this isn't a typical convertible — there's no folding or removable roof. The two-seat cabin is fully exposed.
Ditching the roof forced Lamborghini to rework the aerodynamics significantly. The roadster gets revised side windows, a carbon spoiler at the base of the windshield, and a new engine cover with two aerodynamic humps behind the headrests. Those humps double as rollover protection.
Lamborghini claims the Roadster matches the coupe in downforce, cooling, balance, and stability, with a weight penalty of just a few kilograms. Under the skin lies the most powerful production hybrid setup from the brand: a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 producing 824 hp and 725 Nm, aided by three electric motors — two up front and one integrated into the eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox. A 7 kWh battery powers the electric components. Total output comes to 1065 hp, surpassing the Revuelto's 1001 hp.
Performance barely suffers compared to the coupe. The Roadster hits 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds and 200 km/h in 6.8 seconds — just a tenth slower than the closed version. Top speed exceeds 340 km/h, while the coupe can reach 350 km/h.
The example shown wears Blu Cepheus paint with Rosso Mars accents and plenty of exposed carbon fiber inside and out. The cabin features a black-and-red theme, Y-shaped motifs, and intricate stitching. Everything is designed to make the owner realize this isn't merely a roofless Revuelto but a dedicated collector piece.
The Fenomeno Roadster isn't about practicality or even sheer speed. It's Lamborghini in its purest form: rarity, the roar of the V12 overhead, and the sense that the roof was removed not for wind in your hair but for pure drama.
