Opel Corsa GSE: Most Potent Corsa Ever with 281 HP
Opel Corsa GSE debuts as most potent Corsa ever: 281 hp, 0-100 km/h in 5.5 sec, electric hot hatch with Torsen LSD and sport suspension. See details.
The most potent production Corsa ever—the Corsa GSE—will debut at the Paris Motor Show in October and go on sale later this year. But Opel has already given an early glimpse, releasing the first official photos of the new hot hatch.

The Corsa GSE backs up its looks with serious performance: 207 kW (281 hp) and 345 Nm of torque, matching the electric output of the current Mokka GSE. But it’s the acceleration that really stands out—0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds, pinning the driver to the GSE seat more forcefully than any other production Opel. Top speed is 180 km/h.
Drivers can pick from three modes. Sport unleashes the full 207 kW with calibration optimized for race circuits. Normal limits output to 170 kW (231 hp) while keeping the 180 km/h top speed. Eco prioritizes efficiency and caps velocity at 150 km/h.
Energy comes from a 54 kWh lithium-ion battery (51 kWh usable). To ensure the driving fun remains consistent and reliable, engineers tailored the battery’s thermal management to the high-performance demands of the GSE.

Advanced tech further elevates the experience. The Corsa GSE employs a front-drive layout with a Torsen limited-slip differential and a lowered sports suspension with bespoke axles, anti-roll bars, and hydraulic dampers. The steering and pedal calibration are tuned specifically for the GSE, enhancing the car’s dynamic character. And when you need to shed speed, four-piston brakes deliver powerful, immediate stopping force.
Visually, the Corsa GSE means business. It rides on 18-inch sport wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires (215/40 R18). Peeking through the striking three-spoke design are Alcon brake calipers with prominent GSE lettering. GSE badges on the sides further underscore its performance credentials.
