Ford expands BlueCruise to 2027 Expedition with a 90-day trial. Post-trial, subscribe at $495/year or $2,495 once. New Family Travel, Active Life, and 30th Anniversary packages.

Ford is expanding the availability of its BlueCruise hands-free driving system to the 2027 Expedition. The 90-day trial will now be offered on the Active Touring trim, though it remains unavailable on the Active Select 200A.

BlueCruise is a semi-autonomous highway driving assistant. According to the source, it operates on 97 percent of controlled-access roads in the U.S. and Canada. The system includes Lane Change Assist and In-Lane Repositioning, which aid with lane changes and help keep the vehicle centered.

The trial period is free, but after 90 days, owners must pay to continue using the service. Pricing for the 2027 Expedition has not yet been announced. For context, on the 2026 Expedition, BlueCruise cost $2,495 as a one-time purchase or $495 for an annual subscription after the trial.

The 90-day BlueCruise Trial becomes standard across the entire 2027 Expedition lineup, spanning Active, Tremor, Platinum, and King Ranch trims. A one-time purchase guarantees access for at least seven years, provided the service remains supported.

Additionally, the 2027 Expedition gains several new packages: Family Travel Package, Active Life Package, and 30th Anniversary Package. For its 2026 vehicles and upcoming models, Ford is betting not only on equipment but increasingly on digital features.
