Discover the Renault Twingo E-Tech 2026: 27.5 kWh, 81 hp, 262 km range, 30-min 80% charge and sub-£20k price, plus X-Tomi's stripped-back three-door concept.

As 32CARS reported earlier, Renault has revealed details of the new Twingo E-Tech 2026, yet the real buzz came from an alternative render by X-Tomi Design. The designer imagined a version that won’t reach production: a three-door with plastic bumpers, steel wheels and a pared-back finish. The stripped-down look nods to the bare-bones models of the past and puts affordability squarely in focus—an idea that tends to resonate when budgets matter.

The production Twingo E-Tech is built on the CMF-B EV architecture, carries a 27.5 kWh battery and delivers 81 hp. It offers up to 262 km of range, with charging to 80% taking around 30 minutes. At 3,790 mm in length and about 1,200 kg, it’s designed to seat four adults and provides a 360-liter trunk. On paper, those figures suggest a city car tailored for everyday use without sacrificing practicality.

Renault lists a starting price below £20,000, putting the newcomer up against the ID.Up. Amid the discussion, many prospective buyers weighing their options note that the X-Tomi Design concept could have pushed the Twingo’s affordability even further. The manufacturer, however, has no plans to produce a simplified three-door—this remains a designer’s what-if.
