Volkswagen ID. Polo: Full Electric Hatchback Details Revealed

Volkswagen has unveiled the production version of the new ID. Polo, a fully electric hatchback that marks a new chapter for the model line. Starting at €24,995, orders for the base version will open in summer 2026.

The car is built on the MEB+ platform and is available with front-wheel drive and three power levels: 116 hp, 135 hp, and 211 hp. Base versions come with a 37 kWh battery, offering a range of up to 329 km and fast charging to 80% in about 23 minutes. The top version gets a 52 kWh battery and a range of up to 454 km.

Dimensions are 4053 mm in length with a 2600 mm wheelbase. The electric platform frees up more interior space: trunk volume grows to 441 liters, expanding to 1240 liters with the seats folded.

Inside, there is a 10-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13-inch infotainment screen. Features include driving assistants, the Travel Assist system, one-pedal driving, and the ability to power external devices (Vehicle-to-Load).

The ID. Polo is set to become one of the key debuts at auto shows, targeting the mass market by bringing technologies from more expensive models to the compact segment.
