Volvo's new electric lineup: EX30, ES90, and EM90 debut in Beijing
Volvo presented the EX30 crossover, ES90 sedan, and EM90 minivan at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, expanding its EV portfolio across segments.
At the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, Volvo unveiled several new models, including the compact EX30 crossover, the ES90 electric sedan, and the EM90 minivan.
The Volvo EX30 is the brand's smallest electric crossover. Built on the SEA platform, it's designed for city driving. It features a fully electric powertrain, minimalist design, and signature Thor's Hammer lighting. Inside, there's a digital cockpit with a large central display and an emphasis on sustainable materials.
The Volvo ES90 sedan represents the brand's push into the larger electric car segment. It adopts the new design language with a closed front end and slim headlights, focusing on comfort and equipped with modern driver assistance systems.
Particular attention went to the Volvo EM90 minivan. This fully electric model emphasizes premium comfort for rear passengers, with individual second-row seats featuring power adjustments and the ability to recline into a flat position.
The Beijing debuts highlight Volvo's strategy to expand its electric lineup across segments, from compact crossovers to executive models and family minivans.
