Chinese appliance maker Dreame unveils the Nebula Next 01 hypercar with 1,903 hp and partners with UC Berkeley to advance autonomous driving AI.

Chinese home appliance giant Dreame has announced its entry into the electric vehicle market with the Nebula Next 01 concept. The car boasts 1,903 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.8 seconds. At the same time, the company has started collaborating with the University of California, Berkeley to develop artificial intelligence systems.

Dreame has already unveiled several concepts under the Nebula, Kosmera, and Star Motor brands. The first model, the Nebula Next 01, targets the high-performance EV segment and visually resembles premium models like Bugatti and Rolls-Royce. It is equipped with four electric motors and delivers hypercar-level performance, including a 0-100 km/h sprint in under two seconds.

A key part of Dreame’s strategy is integrating artificial intelligence. Working with UC Berkeley, the company is developing autonomous driving systems that handle perception, decision-making, and vehicle control. It is also building computing platforms and a multi-agent architecture to boost automation and adaptability.

Dreame’s move highlights growing interest from tech companies in the automotive industry. New players are betting not only on power but also on software solutions, including autonomous driving. Still, competition remains fierce. Established companies like Tesla, BYD, and Geely are already advancing their own battery and AI technologies.
