Dacia has unveiled the refreshed Sandero and its Stepway variant, bringing new engines and revised trim levels after a mid-cycle update.

The entry-level version now uses a 1.0-liter SCe 65 rated at 67 hp, paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. The starting price rises to €19,200. The spec may be simple, but it suits the car’s straightforward brief without overcomplicating the basics.

There’s also a new Eco-G 120 that runs on gasoline and liquefied petroleum gas. This 1.2-liter three-cylinder delivers 120 hp and can be had with either a manual or an automatic transmission. Prices for this setup start at €21,300. A bi-fuel option broadens the appeal, especially for buyers who prize running-cost flexibility.

The previous TCe 90 leaves the range, giving way to the 100-hp TCe 100. Versions with this engine are priced from €22,700. The switch looks like a sensible tweak, adding a bit more punch while keeping the model true to its value-first character. And even with higher prices, the Sandero remains a convincing choice for those who want an affordable yet modern car.
