ADAC analysis finds Dacia Bigster cheapest to run in its SUV segment
ADAC analysis names the Dacia Bigster most economical in its SUV segment: just 42.2 euro cents per km. Over five years, owners can save up to €13,800 vs rivals.
Germany’s ADAC auto club has analyzed running costs for popular models and named the new Dacia Bigster the most economical in its segment. According to the study, the crossover costs 42.2 euro cents per kilometer to own—less than many smaller cars.
The calculation covered fuel, insurance, taxes, servicing, and depreciation over five years and 75,000 kilometers. For the 140-hp Dacia Bigster MHEV with an automatic transmission, the final figure came out 18.4 euro cents below the nearest rival. Even the 130-hp hybrid with all-wheel drive remained among the leaders for efficiency.
Over five years, Bigster owners could save about €13,800 compared with similar models. That puts the newcomer among Europe’s most economical SUVs and supports the brand’s pricing strategy—evidence that a focus on essentials and sensible engineering can matter more to buyers than flashy extras.
