Renault unveils art car collaboration with Joshua Vides

Renault has unveiled an unusual version of its Twingo E-Tech Electric, created in collaboration with American artist Joshua Vides. The vehicle features a graphic drawing style and is part of the brand's art project.
The work was presented at Renault Carwalk in Paris, where visitors could watch the transformation process live from April 8 to 13. The finished art car will be on display until June 9.
The design uses a black-and-white palette: the body is covered with contour lines that mimic a sketch. This approach visually transforms the three-dimensional car into an object resembling a two-dimensional drawing. At the same time, the model's shape and elements—such as the optics, bumpers, and arches—remain recognizable.

This project is part of Renault's initiative to collaborate with contemporary artists. The Twingo was chosen deliberately: the model is considered iconic for the brand, and the E-Tech version reflects the shift toward electric vehicles.
Technically, the car remains unchanged and is still a production model. The main focus is on the visual concept. Projects like this are among the latest innovations, showing how automakers use design and art to promote their models.
