Porsche is developing a 911 GT3 convertible with a 518-hp engine and manual transmission, blending track performance with open-top driving.

Porsche appears to be developing a new convertible version of the 911 GT3. A prototype of the 911 GT3 Sport Cabriolet has been spotted during testing, suggesting a potential expansion of the model lineup.

The car retains the core design elements of the standard GT3, such as the front bumper with an integrated splitter and the distinctive hood air intakes. However, this version features a soft-top convertible roof and revised aerodynamics. The updates include ventilation elements behind the front wheels and a new rear bumper with centrally positioned exhaust tips. From the rear, the new model will closely resemble the hardtop version but with a modified engine cover.

Under the hood, the model is expected to use a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine producing 518 horsepower and 465 Nm of torque. It will be paired with a six-speed manual transmission. If this version reaches production, it will add a compelling option to the sports car segment by combining track-focused performance with the appeal of an open-top driving experience.
