Toyota has delayed the launch of the hybrid version of its Land Cruiser 300 Series in Australia. Originally slated for a March 2026 debut, the premiere will now occur after mid-year, though pricing remains undisclosed.

The hybrid SUV features a powertrain based on a 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 paired with an electric motor. Combined output reaches 341 kW (464 hp) and 790 Nm of torque, mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and a 1.8 kWh battery. Fuel consumption is rated at 10.9 L/100 km.

Toyota emphasizes that the Performance Hybrid variant matches the towing capabilities and off-road performance of traditional models, ensuring no compromise in utility.

Meanwhile, a hybrid version of the Prado has yet to be confirmed for the local market. The company states that any decision will hinge on powertrain availability and alignment with customer demands.
