Updated 2026 Peugeot 308 arrives in the UK with EV, PHEV and diesel options
Explore the 2026 Peugeot 308 UK launch: Allure, GT and GT Premium trims, refreshed design, EV up to 449 km WLTP, PHEV, diesel, and prices from £29,995.
Peugeot has begun UK sales of the updated 2026 308, nearly three months after its official debut. Available as a hatchback or the 308 SW estate, it brings noticeable upgrades to design, equipment and powertrains.
The range now comprises three trims — Allure, GT and GT Premium. Highlights include an illuminated grille carrying the Peugeot emblem, new 17- and 18-inch wheels, reworked LED headlights and 3D-effect rear lamps. Inside, there’s a 10-inch touchscreen with wireless Mirror Screen, an updated digital instrument cluster, four USB-C ports and new upholstery materials; the visual and ergonomic tweaks come across as cohesive rather than cosmetic.

The flagship GT Premium offers heated and massaging seats, a heated steering wheel, the i-Cockpit display with 3D graphics, and Drive Assist Plus with surround view — a specification that nudges the 308 toward a more upmarket feel.
Customers can choose from four drivetrains: hybrid, diesel, plug-in hybrid and all-electric. The 308 EV features a 156 hp motor and a 58.4 kWh battery rated for up to 449 km on the WLTP cycle. The PHEV develops 192 hp and can travel up to 85 km on electric power, while the BlueHDi diesel delivers 130 hp.
UK prices start at £29,995 for the hybrid hatchback and £30,995 for the electric version. With these updates, the 2026 Peugeot 308 stands out as a direct rival to the Volkswagen Golf and one of the most tech-forward offerings in the compact segment, and the overall package feels competitive.
