Lexus is launching the new ES in the UK market, marking its first fully electric version. Sales will begin on May 1, with a starting price of £59,345 (€68,247).

The model will be available in three trim levels and is aimed at competing with the BMW i5 and Audi A6 e-tron. Unlike in other markets, a hybrid version will not be offered in the UK.

The base Lexus ES 350e features a single electric motor with 221 horsepower and a 77 kWh battery. Its range reaches up to 529 km on the WLTP cycle. The top-tier ES 500e version has dual motors, delivering 338 horsepower and all-wheel drive. Charging supports up to 150 kW, allowing a charge from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes. Built on the TNGA-K platform, the car comes with a multi-link suspension and adaptive steering.

Standard equipment includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 14-inch multimedia screen, along with advanced safety systems such as driver fatigue monitoring and automatic emergency braking.
