Lucid has unveiled the updated Gravity electric SUV for the 2027 model year, focusing on expanding standard equipment. The model retains its existing technical architecture but becomes more competitive through an enhanced suite of technologies.

The key change is the inclusion of the DreamDrive 2 Premium assist system as standard, now available even on the base Gravity version. This package features adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping, a surround-view camera, and automated parking.

Additionally, the interior trim has been improved, with more option packages offered, including a premium audio system, upgraded suspension, and extended comfort features.

The Touring version comes with a dual-motor setup producing 560 horsepower and offers a range of up to 542 km. The more expensive Grand Touring delivers 828 horsepower and can travel up to 724 km on a single charge.

Both versions keep the dual-motor configuration, while an anticipated three-motor variant with over 1,000 horsepower has not yet been introduced.

In terms of range, the Lucid Gravity competes with models like the Cadillac Escalade IQ and Rivian R1S. Lucid is betting not on extreme power but on a balance of distance, technology, and comfort.

Prices start at $79,900 for the Touring and go up to $98,900 for the Grand Touring, positioning the model in the premium segment of large electric SUVs.

Lucid is developing the Gravity evolutionarily, boosting equipment and comfort rather than sharply increasing power. This is a pragmatic move, but without a 1,000+ horsepower version, the model currently lags in the image race against segment leaders.
