BMW iX7 electric SUV: flagship model with 800 km range

BMW continues to electrify its lineup with the upcoming flagship iX7 SUV. The new model is already undergoing testing and is set to hit the market in 2027, becoming the brand's largest electric vehicle. Visually, the iX7 won't be a revolution. Unlike the smaller Neue Klasse models, it will retain the familiar look of the gasoline-powered X7, including the signature kidney grille and overall body architecture.

The main differences will come down to details like the absence of exhaust pipes and updated styling elements. Under the skin, however, the iX7 will incorporate all of BMW's latest technological developments. It's expected to use an 800-volt architecture, enabling faster charging and higher efficiency.

New high-density batteries will also debut, with a potential range exceeding 800 km. The electric SUV will feature dual motors and all-wheel drive. In top versions, power could surpass 800 hp, putting it on par with modern premium electric vehicles.

Inside, the cabin will get the new Panoramic iDrive multimedia system and expanded digital functions focused on comfort and technology. This approach shows BMW betting on proven design and cutting-edge tech, offering evolution rather than radical change.

The iX7 demonstrates BMW's pragmatic strategy: rather than breaking with familiar aesthetics, the company is gradually introducing new technologies. For the premium segment, this could prove to be a more successful approach.
