Aston Martin DBX recall for suspension arm issue in US

Aston Martin DBX recall: suspension defect in US crossovers B. Naumkin

Aston Martin recalls 3,937 DBX crossovers in the US due to a rear suspension arm defect. Learn about the issue, affected models, and free repair details.

Aston Martin has announced a recall of 3,937 DBX crossovers in the United States, including the DBX707 and the new DBX S. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has registered this campaign under number 26V200, covering model years 2021 through 2026.

The Issue

The recall stems from a defect in the rear lower suspension arm. A bolt with a reduced shank diameter can allow the anti-roll bar link to shift, which may lead to cracking or failure of the suspension arm. If the component breaks, it could result in a loss of vehicle control, damage to the brake line, and an increased risk of an accident.

Technical Details

The recall affects Aston Martin DBX models from 2021 to 2024, DBX707 models from 2023 to 2026, and the new DBX S for the 2026 model year. Production of the impacted vehicles spanned from October 2019 to September 2025. The root cause was a design change to the anti-roll bar link bolt during the model's development phase, which could lead to insufficient joint fixation.

Several instances of suspension damage have been reported, including one accident outside the U.S., but there have been no reports of injuries.

The Solution

To address the defect, dealers will replace the anti-roll bar link bolts free of charge, inspect the rear suspension arms, and replace them if necessary. Owner notifications will begin in April or May 2026, and VIN codes for the affected vehicles are already available for verification.

Despite its limited scale, this recall involves a key model for the brand—the DBX crossover, which plays a strategic role in Aston Martin's sales. The campaign underscores the high safety standards expected of premium vehicles and demonstrates the manufacturer's readiness to respond promptly to potential risks.

Overall, the Aston Martin DBX recall is precautionary, but it concerns a critical suspension component that affects vehicle handling. For owners, this means a necessary check and repair, while for the market, it serves as another reminder that even premium brands prioritize safety and quality control.
